Or, des \u00e9carts significatifs, mais variables, en mati\u00e8re de scolarisation et d\u2019int\u00e9gration entre communaut\u00e9s majoritaires puis celles autochtones et immigrantes, existent dans ces pays. En ce qui concerne la r\u00e9ussite scolaire au Canada, par exemple, les derni\u00e8res \u00e9tudes montrent une nette am\u00e9lioration des performances scolaires de la part des \u00e9l\u00e8ves issus de l\u2019immigration r\u00e9cente, bien que celles-ci varient selon le pays d\u2019origine de ces \u00e9l\u00e8ves et leur statut d\u2019immigrant au Canada. Malgr\u00e9 certaines diff\u00e9rences, les d\u00e9fis, sur le plan social et scolaire, paraissent cependant semblables pour les deux communaut\u00e9s (autochtone et immigrante) \u00e0 travers le monde. Pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces d\u00e9fis, certains pays ont mis en place des politiques pr\u00e9cises et mis\u00e9 sur des pratiques qui se sont av\u00e9r\u00e9es payantes. Ces pratiques permettraient notamment de cr\u00e9er et de maintenir une dynamique positive pour r\u00e9duire les \u00e9carts importants constat\u00e9s sur le plan de la scolarisation et de l\u2019emploi entre les communaut\u00e9s majoritaires et les communaut\u00e9s autochtones ou de l\u2019immigration r\u00e9cente.
